Analysis of different music videos through summer 2017

Dua Lipa- No Rules

This music video has a lot of different shots and different camera angles in it. Also it has different types and styles of camera work. In one of the first shots of the music video it is a shot of a street in a city and with the title of the music video at the end of the street. It has a dark colour behind the text and the colour of the text is white. The white colour of the text contrasts with the dark colour of the street behind the text. In this music video it uses the words from the song to make the music video. So it is making a story with the words from the song. For example when she sings "don't pick up the phone" someone is actually stopping her from picking up the phone. This is a good idea for my music video because then people who are watching the music video would understand what I a doing because it would have something to do with the song.

Demi Lovato- Sorry Not Sorry

In this music video a shot is shown wear all of the background is blurred and moving very quickly behind her, where as she is just stood still singing. This makes people watching the music video concentrate more on her rather than things that are going on in the background. This could be a good idea for my music video because it would mean that people would be paying attention to the main part of the music video, however I could also be a bad thing to do because people might start getting bored of watching the same thing in the music video. The music video is very colourful this could mean that the producers of the music video see this song as a very joyful song, this could be a good idea for my music video because it would mean that I would have  song and the audience that I am trying to aim at would be very joyful as well.

Niall Horan- Slow hands

This music video is made with cartoon characters instead of using people. This makes it unique and original which means that people who the producers and artist were trying to attract would be very interested in watching this music video as it has a lot of different features in that other music videos may not have. This could be a good thing to use in my music video because it would mean that a lot of people would be very interested in my video as not a lot of people have made music videos like this.

Major Lazer- Know No Better

In this music video it shows two different boys with the same story just from two different aides of the story. This means that people watching this music video can get the same story but from two different point of views. One of the views is from a rich boy with a rich family, and the other is from a boy who is poorer than the other, and goes to a normal school, where he gets bullied. This could be a good thing to do in my music video because it would mean that i could make my video about two different people which would mean that the audience would have to pay more attention to what is happening in the music video.
